Dr. Ewan Gibb

Dr. Ewan Gibb is an Assistant Professor in Urologic Sciences at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and a Senior Research Scientist at the Vancouver Prostate Centre (VPC). He leads a translational research program using genomic and bioinformatic approaches to study bladder and prostate cancer, with a focus on tumor heterogeneity, treatment resistance, and biomarker development.

Before joining the VPC, Dr. Gibb was Principal Scientist and Bladder Cancer Lead at Veracyte, where he contributed to the development and commercialization of the Decipher Bladder test and the expansion of the Genomic Resource Information Database (GRID).

His current research focuses on bladder tumor heterogeneity and the mechanisms underlying treatment resistance. His lab primarily uses transcriptomic approaches while integrating genomic and imaging technologies through collaborations with clinicians and scientists in Canada, the United States, and internationally.
